Specimen Collection / Processing Instructions

Peripheral blood in EDTA with a minimum volume of 1 ml is the only acceptable specimen. For optimal results, the sample should arrive within 24 hours of collection at room temperature. 

Required Information

Complete the Incyte Diagnostics requisition with the patient's demographics and relevant clinical history. Label the specimen containers with patient's full name, second unique identifier, and specimen site/source. Please provide a copy of the patient's complete blood count (CBC) report. It is recommended to retest patients within 6 months when small clones are detected.

Unacceptable Specimen Conditions

Peripheral blood in Sodium Heparin, ACD, or other non-EDTA anticoagulant. Clotted or unlabeled specimens.
